White label SEO pricing is the fee your agency pays a partner to deliver SEO under your brand. Your client price must also cover account management, quality checks, reporting, and the work your team still owns. Doubling a supplier invoice does not automatically give you a 50% margin.
This guide compares published provider prices, explains what changes the cost, and gives you a worked example for setting a sustainable retainer. Provider prices were checked on September 29, 2026. The calculations are illustrative, not Hustle Marketers quotes or promises of results.
Quick Summary
- Compare the same scope: a Google Business Profile service, a local SEO campaign, and a national SEO retainer are different purchases.
- Published prices can exclude agency membership fees, implementation, extra locations, and your own delivery time.
- Calculate your client price from total account cost and a chosen margin, then check whether the scope and value justify it.
- Ask for deliverables, review standards, reporting examples, ownership terms, and cancellation rules in writing.
- A higher price or a larger backlink count does not prove better SEO. Examine the work and the methods.
What is the difference between wholesale SEO pricing and your client retainer?
The wholesale price is what the fulfillment provider invoices your agency. The retail retainer is what your client pays you. The difference funds your agency’s contribution to the account, shared business costs, and profit.
For example, a partner may research keywords and optimize pages while your team handles positioning, client approvals, conversion tracking, and monthly calls. Those responsibilities take time even when the provider produces a branded report.
A white label reporting platform is another category. SEO automation software may help you package results, but its subscription does not necessarily include an SEO specialist, content production, or website changes. Confirm whether you are buying a tool, individual tasks, or managed delivery.
How much do white label SEO providers charge?
There is no single price that represents every campaign. The following first-party examples show how providers package their services. These are published USD prices checked September 29, 2026, not a market average, quality ranking, or endorsement. Confirm the current quote and full terms before purchasing.
| Provider and source | Published monthly price | What to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| SEO Brothers | Local plans: Tiny $299, Typical $399, Turbo $624 | Campaign limits, work cadence, and whether implementation or custom work changes your quote. |
| SEOReseller | Local $499/client; National $699/client; GBP Only $299/client | Which service you need and the deliverables included for that client. |
| Third Marble | Local SEO: $399, $999, or $2,999 per client, plus an agency fee | Agency fee: $500/month on Growth or $100/month on Partner. Eligibility and account count matter. |
| WhiteLabelSEO | Managed Local Essential $990; Pro $1,490 | These bundle local SEO, GBP management, and website care for a client. Compare against equivalent scope. |
Third Marble describes Growth for agencies with fewer than five accounts and Partner for those with five or more, with a training route for possible earlier qualification. An agency-level fee is separate from each client’s service fee. Allocate it across the accounts actually using the service when modeling your costs.
Do not choose the lowest number without checking the work behind it. A limited local plan may suit one business, while a store with thousands of product URLs needs a different brief. None of these examples establishes a universal minimum or maximum for SEO.
What should a white label SEO package include?
A useful quote connects the client’s problem to specific work, a delivery owner, and an acceptance standard. “Technical SEO included” is too vague if nobody has agreed who will implement the fixes.
| Campaign type | Work to define | Questions that affect cost |
|---|---|---|
| Local SEO | Business Profile work, service pages, local landing pages, listing accuracy, and local reporting | How many locations and profiles? Are website edits included, or only recommendations? |
| National or B2B SEO | Search intent research, service or solution pages, content updates, technical improvements, and lead measurement | Who supplies subject expertise? How many pages need research, review, and implementation? |
| Ecommerce SEO | Category and product templates, internal links, crawl and indexation issues, structured data, and revenue reporting | How large is the catalog? Who handles platform development and template changes? |
| Multi-location or complex sites | Shared technical work plus location-specific pages, data, approvals, and reporting | Which tasks are shared? Which repeat per location, language, market, or website? |
Does the package include implementation or only an audit?
Ask for separate lines for diagnosis, recommendations, implementation, and verification. An audit can be valuable, but it does not fix a broken canonical tag or publish an improved service page. If your developer does that work, include the developer’s cost and availability.
How should content deliverables be specified?
Define the intended reader, page purpose, research inputs, revision allowance, and publishing owner. Clarify whether a “content piece” means a new article, a short location page, or an update to an existing page. Ask who checks facts and obtains subject-matter input when the topic requires it.
Keyword counts and word counts can help describe scope. They are not substitutes for relevance, accuracy, or a page that helps someone make a decision.
Which white label SEO pricing model fits your agency?
- Monthly retainer: useful for continuing research, implementation, content, and measurement. Specify monthly capacity and how priorities can change.
- Fixed project: useful for an audit, migration review, or defined batch of pages. Set deliverables, dependencies, revision limits, and completion criteria.
- Hourly support: useful for specialist work with uncertain scope. Agree on an estimate, approval threshold, and time records.
- Per-location pricing: useful when recurring work repeats across branches. Separate shared website work from location-specific work.
- Individual deliverables: useful when your agency owns strategy and needs production capacity. Budget for briefing, integration, and quality control.
Choose the model around who owns strategy and execution. A low unit price can become expensive when your team has to coordinate many disconnected tasks.
How do you calculate your white label SEO client price and margin?
Start with the monthly cost of serving that account. The example below includes the provider invoice and the agency’s own account-level work. Replace every assumption with your actual costs.
| Cost item | Assumption | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Fulfillment partner | Quoted monthly delivery fee | $1,500 |
| Account management | 3 hours × $75 internal cost/hour | $225 |
| Editorial and delivery review | 2 hours × $50 internal cost/hour | $100 |
| Client reporting and call | 1 hour × $75 internal cost/hour | $75 |
| Allocated tools | Account’s share | $50 |
| Revision allowance | Expected additional account work | $50 |
| Total account cost | Before shared overhead and taxes | $2,000 |
Use realistic internal labor costs rather than the hourly rate you charge clients. Avoid counting the same hours twice. Shared sales, administration, and other overhead still need funding from the amount left over.
What is the difference between markup and margin?
Markup = (client price − cost) ÷ cost.
Margin = (client price − cost) ÷ client price.
Both calculations must use the same cost basis. A 100% markup on a $2,000 account cost produces a $4,000 price and a 50% margin. A 50% markup produces a $3,000 price and a 33.3% margin.
If you double only the $1,500 supplier invoice, you also charge $3,000. After the extra $500 of account costs above, you keep $1,000 before shared overhead and taxes. That is a 33.3% account contribution margin, not a 50% margin and not net profit.
What price do you need for a target margin?
Required client price = account cost ÷ (1 − target margin).
With $2,000 in account costs and a 40% target, calculate $2,000 ÷ 0.60 = $3,333.33 recurring. Rounding up to $3,333.34 meets that target before shared overhead and taxes. At $3,500, the same account produces a 42.9% contribution margin.
There is no universal “correct” margin for every agency. Your target depends on overhead, sales effort, service risk, capacity, and the value you can deliver. If the client budget cannot support the proposed scope, change the scope or delivery plan before committing.
Which setup fees and extra costs should you check?
A provider may charge onboarding separately, include it in a retainer, or waive it. A setup fee is neither automatically necessary nor automatically unreasonable. Ask what work it buys and whether an existing audit can be reused.
- Onboarding: access setup, baseline analysis, measurement checks, research, and the initial plan.
- Development: template edits, tracking repairs, migrations, and fixes outside standard CMS access.
- Content: specialist review, interviews, images, extra revisions, and publishing.
- Account expansion: additional locations, markets, languages, product categories, or websites.
- Communication: extra calls, direct client participation, custom dashboards, and urgent requests.
- Commercial terms: platform fees, minimum commitments, currency, applicable taxes, payment fees, and unused credits.
Should you charge an SEO setup fee to your client?
Base the decision on actual onboarding effort and your agreement. You can quote a separate project or recover that work through the retainer, provided the scope and payment terms are clear.
For example, spreading an illustrative $600 onboarding cost over six months adds $100 to each month’s cost model. It does not make the work free. Decide what happens if the engagement ends before that cost is recovered, and agree on the terms before work starts.
How do you compare two white label SEO quotes fairly?
First ask both providers to price the same brief. Then compare the total for the same period, including tasks your agency must supply. This example shows why headline retainers can mislead.
| Cost | Quote A | Quote B |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly retainer | $600 × 3 = $1,800 | $850 × 3 = $2,550 |
| Setup | $300 | Included |
| Required implementation | $200 × 3 = $600 extra | Included in this example |
| Three-month total | $2,700 | $2,550 |
Quote B costs $150 less over this period despite its higher monthly headline. That comparison only holds if the outputs, quality standards, and required implementation are equivalent. Add your own account costs before calculating the client price.
Ask each provider to label every task as included, separately priced, or your responsibility. Treat “we can help with that” as an unanswered pricing question until the quote defines the work.
What questions should you ask before hiring a white label SEO partner?
- Who will work on the account? Ask about the strategist, delivery team, editor, and escalation contact.
- What will happen in the first month? Request a plan tied to the site’s actual problems, access needs, and approval process.
- Can we see a relevant work sample? Review a redacted audit, content brief, change log, and report. Check whether examples reflect a comparable business.
- Who approves and implements changes? Agree on publishing permissions, quality review, and how errors are corrected.
- Who owns the accounts and work? Clarify access to Search Console, analytics, Business Profiles, content, reporting data, and handover materials.
- How will reporting connect work to outcomes? Ask for completed tasks alongside search visibility, useful traffic, and properly measured leads or sales.
- How do revisions and scope changes work? Confirm limits, turnaround expectations, extra charges, and who authorizes them.
- What happens when the engagement ends? Check notice periods, minimum terms, outstanding work, and access handover.
The questions are consistent with concerns raised in this agency community discussion about outsourcing SEO profitably. Community comments are anecdotal, so use them to identify questions to ask, not to establish a reliable market price.
Provider videos can also help you prepare for a sales call. For example, the published description and chapter list for Softtrix’s 2024 white label SEO overview cover pricing, process, and provider selection. Check current written terms rather than relying on older video prices.

How should you evaluate link building, AI content, and SEO quality?
Does paying more for backlinks make them safer?
No. Price and third-party authority scores do not establish compliance with Google’s policies. Ask how links are earned, whether payment is involved, why the placement serves readers, and what control the publisher retains.
Google’s link spam policy covers links created primarily to manipulate rankings. Its outbound link guidance recommends rel="sponsored" for paid placements and also accepts nofollow. Do not treat an expensive placement as proof that a tactic is acceptable.
What should you check when a provider uses AI for content?
Ask how the provider verifies facts, incorporates business knowledge, checks sources, and reviews the final page. Evaluate a real sample for usefulness and accuracy. Publishing more pages is not a useful objective when they repeat existing information or fail to answer the reader’s question.
Google’s people-first content guidance explains that E-E-A-T is not a single ranking factor. In practice, make authorship clear, support important claims, add relevant first-hand knowledge when available, and explain the basis of examples. Do not invent credentials or results to fill a template.
How should you price SEO alongside PPC?
If you sell to Australian clients, the commercial picture changes in ways this page does not cover. Our guide to white label SEO in Australia works through GST on an overseas supplier invoice, what APP 8 asks of you when client data leaves the country, and why a response window written in AEST is wrong for half the year.
Separate SEO delivery, PPC management, and advertising spend in the proposal. Identify any shared work, such as measurement or reporting, before offering a bundle discount. A combined package still needs enough budget for both services.

When should you review the retainer?
Review actual delivery time, revision load, scope changes, and client outcomes after onboarding and at agreed checkpoints. If a client adds locations or needs development beyond the original brief, document the new work and agree on a revised price. Do not assume that every account needs the same annual increase.
What else do agencies ask about white label SEO pricing?
Can you buy white label SEO for under $500 a month?
Yes, some published plans in the comparison above are below $500. That does not mean they include every task your client needs. Check service type, limits, extra fees, and your own workload before reselling the package.
Is a 50% markup the same as a 50% margin?
No. On the same cost basis, a 50% markup gives a 33.3% margin. A 50% margin requires a 100% markup. Include your agency’s account costs as well as the fulfillment invoice.
Do all white label SEO providers require a setup fee or long contract?
No. Terms differ. Some providers publish month-to-month arrangements or no setup fees. Check notice periods, minimum commitments, and what onboarding includes in the actual agreement.
Should multi-location SEO cost the same for every location?
Not necessarily. Technical work may be shared across one website, while profile management, local content, and reporting repeat by location. Ask the provider to separate shared costs from recurring local work.
Does a higher SEO retainer guarantee better rankings?
No price guarantees a ranking outcome. Evaluate the proposed work, relevant experience, transparency, and measurement plan. Treat ranking promises as a reason to ask how the provider can substantiate them.
What information should you send to get an accurate quote?
Send the website, business model, target locations, main services or products, CMS, known technical issues, current measurement setup, and priority outcomes. Specify what your team can implement and how much client communication the partner must handle.
What can existing partner feedback tell you?
The videos below share broader experiences with Hustle Marketers, including PPC and ecommerce work. Use them as context for communication and partnership fit. They do not establish SEO package prices or guarantee SEO results. Ask for examples relevant to your proposed scope.
How can you discuss a white label SEO scope with Hustle Marketers?
Explore our white label SEO services, then send us your client brief. Ask for a written scope that identifies deliverables, delivery responsibilities, reporting, pricing, and terms before deciding.
