Budget planning
Google Ads Budget Calculator
Turn a lead or revenue goal into the monthly budget and the average daily budget to enter in Google Ads, with 23 industry CPC and conversion rate presets from the 2026 benchmarks. Shows the clicks and conversions it should buy, your peak single day spend under Google 30.4 day rule, and warns you when a budget is too small for a campaign to learn.
Plan your budgetBids and click costs
CPC Calculator and Max CPC Bid Calculator
Average cost per click from spend and clicks, the clicks a budget will buy, the budget a click target needs, and the real cost per click of a CPM buy. Then work out the maximum CPC you can afford to bid from a target CPA, from profit per sale, or from average order value and target ROAS, each checked against 2026 Google Ads and Meta Ads benchmarks for 24 industries.
Work out your CPCCost per conversion
CPA Calculator and Target CPA Calculator
Cost per acquisition from spend and conversions, from a budget, or from your CPC and conversion rate. Then the part most calculators skip: the break even and target CPA your margin can actually carry, worked out from average order value and gross margin for ecommerce, or deal value and lead to sale close rate for lead generation. Includes a Target CPA bidding readiness check and 2026 cost per lead benchmarks for 24 industries.
Work out your CPAImpressions and reach
CPM Calculator and Budget Planner
CPM, impressions or cost from any two of the three, plus frequency. Converts CPM to CPC and CPA using your click through and conversion rate, so an impression buy can be compared with a click buy honestly. Runs a budget across 20 sourced platform benchmarks at once, from Display and TikTok to LinkedIn and Connected TV. Includes a publisher side for eCPM, fill rate and revenue per thousand ad requests.
Work out your CPMKeywords and match types
Keyword Wrapper and Google Ads Editor Export
Wrap a keyword list in phrase, exact and all three negative match types at once, with the characters Google rejects stripped and duplicates removed. Then export it as a Google Ads Editor import with the Campaign, Ad group, Keyword and Match type columns Editor actually expects, as a paste block or a CSV. Also combines keyword lists and turns a search terms report into exact match adds and negative phrase adds with plurals filled in.
Wrap your keywordsUnit economics
CAC Calculator with LTV and Payback
Paid CAC and blended CAC side by side, with a cost checklist that follows what Stripe and Shopify actually count. Turns your margin and churn into a gross margin LTV, then returns the LTV to CAC ratio and the CAC payback period in months. Paste a few months of spend and signups to see whether a comfortable blended average is hiding an acquisition cost that keeps climbing. Thirty sourced benchmarks by industry, model and sales motion, each with its period shown.
Work out your CACSEO forecasting
SEO ROI Calculator with CTR Curves and Ramp
Forecasts organic traffic from a published click through rate curve instead of asking you to guess it, shows the curve with its source, and takes the AI Overview reduction off the top when your keywords are informational. Ramps the forecast month by month to find the break even month, prices the same clicks in Google Ads using benchmarks from 13,474 US campaigns, and compares the ROI you have already earned against nineteen industry figures.
Forecast your SEO ROIAccount audit
Interactive Google Ads Audit Checklist
Sixty four checks across ten categories, weighted by impact rather than counted, so broken conversion tracking costs you more than a missing sitelink. Every item tells you what good looks like and where that standard comes from. Performance Max and Shopping are included, checks that do not apply to your account are marked not applicable rather than held against you, and you get a grade out of 100 with a fix first list. No Google login, no email, nothing leaves your browser.
Score your accountBudget planning
Marketing Budget Calculator
Percent of revenue benchmarks by sector, revenue band, growth stage and industry, each with the study and the date attached rather than the usual unsourced six to twelve percent. Then it works the budget backwards from a revenue goal and names the gap between what companies like you spend and what your own target costs. Splits paid media out from the full budget, and checks whether the paid search slice is even large enough to learn from.
Set your budgetReturn on ad spend
ROAS Calculator
Enter ad spend and revenue for your ROAS, then switch on profit aware mode to see whether that number still makes money after cost of goods sold. Includes break even ROAS and benchmarks from real client accounts rather than SaaS ranges.
Calculate your ROASReporting and profitability
ROMI Calculator
Return on marketing investment calculator with baseline and cost of goods inputs, so the result reflects the revenue your marketing actually added rather than total revenue. Compare the figure against industry benchmarks and see what to fix next.
Calculate your ROMIHow Do You Use These Calculators Together?
Most free PPC calculators work alone. The real value comes from running them in order, so your bids and budget come from your margin instead of a guess. Here is a worked example for an online store.
Step 1: What ROAS do you need to break even?
Average order value is $80 and gross margin is 40 percent, so each sale leaves $32 before ad costs. Break even ROAS is 1 divided by 0.40, which is 2.5, or 250 percent. Check yours with the ROAS Calculator.
Step 2: What target CPA can your margin carry?
At $32 profit per sale, spending more than $32 per conversion loses money. Keeping about a quarter of the profit gives a target CPA of $24. The CPA Calculator does this for ecommerce and lead generation. Google explains how the bid strategy uses this number in About Target CPA bidding.
Step 3: How much can you bid per click?
With a 3 percent conversion rate, a $24 target CPA supports a max CPC of $0.72 ($24 x 0.03). Run your own numbers in the CPC Calculator.
Step 4: What daily budget should you enter in Google Ads?
For 100 sales a month at $24 each, the monthly budget is $2,400. Divided by 30.4 days, the average daily budget is about $79. Google can spend up to twice that on a single day, as explained in About average daily budgets. The Google Ads Budget Calculator shows this for you.
Step 5: Is each customer worth what you paid?
Once sales come in, the CAC Calculator compares cost to acquire a customer with lifetime value and payback months, and the ROMI Calculator shows what your marketing added overall.
What Is the Difference Between ROAS, ROMI, CPA and CAC?
These four metrics get mixed up in reports. Use this table to choose the right one.
| Metric | Formula | Best used for |
|---|---|---|
| ROAS | Revenue from ads / ad spend | Judging a campaign or Shopping feed |
| ROMI | (Revenue added by marketing minus marketing cost) / marketing cost | Reporting the return on total marketing |
| CPA | Ad spend / conversions | Setting bids and Target CPA |
| CAC | All sales and marketing cost / new customers | Checking payback against lifetime value |
Where Do the Rules and Benchmarks Come From?
The feed and bidding checks follow the published platform documentation, not our opinion. These are the main sources used across the tools:
- Google Merchant Center product data specification
- Google GTIN attribute requirements
- GS1: how to calculate a check digit
- Microsoft Merchant Center overview
- Google Ads: About Target ROAS bidding
- Google Ads: About keyword matching options

Are These Free Tools Safe to Use With Client Data?
Every tool on this page is a single page of browser code. Your file, sheet or numbers are read by your own browser and never sent to us, which is why there is no upload progress bar, no account and no email. The rules the tools check against come from the published Google and Microsoft specifications, and the source links are listed at the bottom of each tool so you can verify any rule yourself.
What Free Tools Are Coming Next?
More tools are on the way, including a Google Ads bid strategy picker, a campaign type migration checker for Performance Max and Standard Shopping, and the 120 point Google Ads audit checklist we use on new accounts. If there is a check you keep doing by hand in a spreadsheet, tell us and we may build it.
Numbers look off? Get a second pair of eyes.
If the calculators show a budget or ROAS your account is not hitting, we will review your Google Ads or Shopping setup and show you what to fix first. Free audit worth $500.

Are the tools really free?
Yes. There is no trial, no usage cap on the free version and no paid version. We built them for our own client work and publish them because a working feed is the starting point for every Shopping campaign we run.
Is my feed or data uploaded anywhere?
No. The file or Google Sheet is read by your browser on your own machine. Nothing is sent to our server, nothing is stored, and the exports are generated locally. Close the tab and the data is gone.
Can an agency use these on client accounts?
Yes, that is what we use them for. Run a client feed through the validator, export the issue CSV and the developer brief, and send them straight to the client or their developer. No attribution is required.
What are the best free digital marketing tools for PPC?
For paid search and Shopping work, the tools on this page cover the checks most accounts need: a feed validator, a GTIN checker, a keyword match type builder, and budget, CPC, CPA, CPM, CAC, ROAS and ROMI calculators. They are free, need no sign up and run in your browser.
Do I still need a paid tool like Semrush?
For keyword volumes, competitor data and rank tracking, a platform such as Semrush or Google Keyword Planner is still useful. These tools do the jobs those platforms do not, such as break even ROAS, target CPA from your margin and Merchant Center attribute checks.
Which tool should I start with on a new Google Ads account?
Start with the Google Ads Budget Calculator to set a realistic budget, then use the CPC and CPA calculators to set bids. Once sales come in, use the ROAS Calculator to check profit. For Shopping campaigns, run your feed through the validator first.
What is a good ROAS for Google Ads?
It depends on your margin. Break even ROAS is 1 divided by your gross margin, so a 40 percent margin needs 2.5 (250 percent) just to cover product costs. Anything above that is profit. A store with a 60 percent margin can be profitable at a much lower ROAS.
How do I work out my Google Ads budget?
Start from the number of sales or leads you want and your target CPA. Multiply them for the monthly budget, then divide by 30.4 for the average daily budget you enter in Google Ads. The Google Ads Budget Calculator does this and warns you if the budget is too small for bidding to learn.
How do I fix an invalid GTIN error in Merchant Center?
Most invalid GTIN errors come from a wrong check digit, a missing leading zero or a number that was never registered with GS1. Paste the GTIN column into the GTIN Check Digit Calculator to find bad rows. If a product has no GTIN, such as custom or handmade items, leave the field empty and use brand and MPN instead.
Can I use my Google Shopping feed in Microsoft Merchant Center?
Yes. Microsoft Advertising can import from Google Merchant Center, and most Google attributes carry over. Some values differ, so run the feed through the validator first to see the Microsoft version of each attribute and download a Microsoft ready file.
