Quick Answer: What is Apple Business Connect now?

Since April 14, 2026, Apple Business Connect is part of Apple Business, Apple’s free platform at business.apple.com. To get on Apple Maps, sign up, verify your organization with two of four methods, then add or claim your location. Apple says organization verification can take up to five business days. Apple may confirm places Maps already lists by phone.

Key Observations

  • April 14, 2026: Apple Business replaced Business Connect as a free service, and existing data moved over automatically (Apple Newsroom).
  • April 14, 2026 guide: organization verification needs two methods and up to five business days, inside a 60-day window (Apple Support).
  • August 14, 2026: Apple published its Ads on Apple Maps help, for the US and Canada only (Apple Support).
  • September 10, 2026: businesses with more than five locations, or that already use Apple Ads, are directed to Apple Ads for Maps ads, and the move is permanent (Apple Support).
  • October 8, 2026: you can add and edit locations in bulk, up to 10,000 rows per file (Apple Support).
  • April 14, 2026 table: brand and location tools are not listed for Ukraine, China Mainland or South Korea (Apple Support).

What is Apple Business Connect for?

Apple Business Connect is for controlling how your business looks across Apple’s apps. You claim a place card on Apple Maps, keep hours, photos and contact details accurate, and add promotions and booking buttons. Your place card details also show in Safari and Spotlight, your approved brand shows in Wallet and Siri, and Mail shows it once you set up Branded Mail.

What changed when Apple Business Connect became Apple Business?

Apple folded Business Connect, Business Manager and Business Essentials into one free platform called Apple Business on April 14, 2026. Your claimed locations and place cards moved across automatically. Since then Apple has added ads on Maps, a permanent move path to Apple Ads, and bulk editing for many locations.

What should you check if you used the old Business Connect?

  • Sign in at business.apple.com. A personal Apple Account keeps brand and location tools only, while an Apple Account for Work unlocks everything (Apple Support).
  • Check roles. A custom Brand Manager role appears only for organizations moved from Business Connect (Apple Support).
  • Compare each location’s name, pin, hours and photos with your website.

How much does Apple Business Connect cost?

Apple Business Connect costs nothing. Apple Business, which now holds the Business Connect tools, is free for new and existing users. You pay only for optional extras: more iCloud storage, AppleCare+ for Business and Ads on Apple Maps, which run on a budget you set.

Apple lists US iCloud storage from $0.99 per user a month and AppleCare+ for Business from $6.99 a month (Apple Newsroom). Eligible new Maps advertisers may get a one-time $150 USD credit, subject to Apple’s terms and a valid credit card (Apple Ads).

Who can use Apple Business Connect?

Any organization that Apple can verify can use Apple Business to manage its brand and locations. You need your legal name, an organization address, a phone number and two verification methods. Agencies that manage listings for clients register separately as third-party partners.

Which countries is Apple Business Connect available in?

Apple Business runs in more than 200 countries and regions (Apple Newsroom), but features vary (Apple feature availability).

FeatureWhere Apple lists it
Brand and location management, Branded MailMost countries; not Ukraine, China Mainland or South Korea
Ads on Apple MapsUS (except American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands) and Canada
Mail, Calendar and DirectoryUS only
Verify with Wallet on the WebUS and Japan

Apple lists 12 languages for locations and showcases, including English, Spanish, French, German and Hindi, but "Not all languages are supported for showcases" (Apple Support).

Can a business without a storefront use it?

In 2024, Apple said businesses without a physical location could create a brand presence (Apple Newsroom). Can a service-area business get a Maps place card? Apple’s current guide does not cover this. Some owners report rejection emails that mention a storefront, which is observed by users, not Apple policy (Local Search Forum).

How do I set up Apple Business Connect?

To set up Apple Business Connect, go to business.apple.com and select Get started (Apple’s guide calls it Sign up now). Enter your organization details, your legal name and a phone number. Confirm the email and phone codes and accept the terms. Then verify your organization with two methods before you add locations.

What do you need before you sign up?

Have your legal name, a work email, a phone number for sign-in codes and two verification items ready (Apple Support). Use your real legal name, because Apple sends back sign-ups that use placeholder names such as "IT Coordinator." Your email domain cannot already be verified by another Apple Business organization. Adding your website is optional but can speed up verification.

What are the sign-up steps?

  1. Go to business.apple.com and select Get started (Apple’s guide calls it Sign up now).
  2. Enter your organization’s name, address and country.
  3. Enter your legal name, a password and a phone number.
  4. Enter the codes sent to your email and phone, then accept the terms.
  5. Go to Settings, then Organization, select Verify Now, complete two methods and select Send for Review (Apple Support).

How do I add my business to Apple Maps?

To add your business to Apple Maps, sign in to Apple Business and go to Brands, then Locations. Add a single location with its name and address, and drag the pin onto your building. Add your category, phone and hours, pick a brand, then send it for Apple’s review.

  1. Go to Brands, then Locations, and add a single location.
  2. Enter the name exactly as it appears on your sign or website.
  3. Enter the address, then move the pin so it sits on the building. Satellite view helps.
  4. Add a primary category, status, phone number and website.
  5. Set your hours of operation.
  6. Choose a brand, or create one.
  7. Verify your organization if needed, then submit for review (Apple Support).

Apple asks for a phone number with its country code for every new location, while the website is optional. If you have no website, Apple accepts a Facebook, Instagram or TikTok page. New businesses can use the Opening Soon status up to six months ahead.

How do I claim an existing business on Apple Maps?

If Maps already shows your business, search for it while adding a location and select it. Apple may offer a call to the number it has on record. Enter the four-digit code from that call to finish (Apple Support).

If another organization manages the place, request a transfer with documents such as a business license or utility bill. Apple says "The review can take up to five business days."

How do I add multiple locations?

Apple added bulk tools on October 8, 2026 (release notes). Your organization must be verified and have a brand first (Apple Support).

  1. Download the Add Multiple Locations template ZIP from Brands, then Locations.
  2. Fill in the template, with your Brand Reference ID and Brand ID in each row.
  3. Save as .csv, .tsv or .xlsx, up to 10,000 rows per file (Apple Support).
  4. Upload, fix every error and select Send for Review.

How does Apple Business Connect verification work?

Apple Business Connect verification happens at two levels. First Apple verifies your organization with two of four methods: a business ID, a DNS record, an App Store Connect app or documents. Then each location is confirmed, by phone when Maps already lists it, or through Apple’s review of your submission.

LevelMethodWhat you provideNotes
OrganizationBusiness IDD-U-N-S Number or EINOne of your two methods
OrganizationDomain validationA TXT record in your DNSNeeds domain access

Sources: Apple’s verification guide and location guide. You have 60 days from sign-up to get verified. After that, Apple says "your organization, data, and Managed Apple Accounts are deleted."

How long does Apple Business Connect take to approve?

Apple publishes a separate review window for almost every change. This table collects them, each linked to the Apple page that states it. Plan launches around these windows, not the day you submit.

Why is my business not showing up on Apple Maps?

A business may not show on Apple Maps because it is still in review or the organization is not verified. Apple may also have rejected something. A wrong pin, a closed status after customer reports, or a duplicate listing can hide you too.

Rows marked "observed by users" come from public forum threads, not Apple policy.

How do I update my business on Apple Maps?

To update your business on Apple Maps, sign in to Apple Business, open Brands, then Locations, and select the location. Edit the hours, photos, phone, website, categories or Good to Know details, then save. Apple reviews many edits before they go live, so allow for the review windows above.

How do I change holiday or special hours?

Open the location and edit Special hours. Apple says "You can adjust the hours of operation for holidays, events, or extended hours" (Apple Support). Temporary hours cannot show a closure inside one day, so list only the open periods (Apple Support).

How do I remove or close a location?

Go to Preferences, Manage, Remove Location, and pick a reason. Choose Permanently closed if the business has shut, which also marks it closed on Maps. Apple warns: "If you remove this location, it may still appear in Apple Maps and across Apple" (Apple Support).

What gets an Apple Maps listing or photo rejected?

Apple rejects content that breaks its photo, text and attribute rules. Run this checklist before you submit.

  • The display name matches your sign or website, with no descriptions, no trademark symbols and no city added to tell branches apart (Apple).
  • The pin sits over the building, not the road or entrance.
  • The phone number has a country code and no extension.
  • The website is your own site or your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok page, not a third-party site.
  • You chose one primary category, plus up to 19 others.
  • Photos are ones you own or have the rights to upload, with no added text, collages, watermarks, stock images or AI-generated content (Apple).
  • The logo is square, 1024 to 4864 pixels wide, in HEIF, JPEG, PNG or SVG (Apple).

What are Apple Business Connect Showcases, Actions and Insights?

Showcases, Actions and Insights are the three tools that make a place card work harder. A showcase is a short promotion with an image and a button. Actions are buttons such as Reserve or Order that open your booking or ordering page. Insights show how people find you and what they tap.

How do Apple Business Connect showcases work?

A showcase sits on one location’s place card for the dates you set. Apple says "Showcases are designed to highlight something new related to each location" (Apple Support).

Showcase settingApple’s limit
Headline38 characters
Body text100 characters
Run timeUp to 365 days, default 90
LanguagesOne rejected language rejects the whole showcase

Actions send people from the place card to your website or booking platform. Restaurant examples include Menu, Reserve, Waitlist, Pickup and Delivery (Apple Support). Customers need iOS 17.4 or later to see them.

Apple claims "Action links increase your clickthrough rate by 31 percent" (Apple Business). That is Apple’s own claim, and Apple publishes no method behind it.

What does Apple Business Connect Insights show?

Insights show search taps, search type, place card views, and actions such as directions, calls and website taps (Apple Support). Apple’s guide groups searches by type (name or brand, category, or other) and does not describe a list of search terms.

  • Usage below a reporting threshold shows as zero, so judge quiet locations over longer periods.
  • You can export data as CSV and turn on a monthly Insight recap in your preferences.

What can Apple Business brand beyond Apple Maps?

Beyond Apple Maps, the same verified brand can appear in email and at checkout. Branded Mail puts your name and logo on emails in Apple’s Mail app and iCloud Mail. Tap to Pay on iPhone shows your logo and name on the payment screen. Both rely on a brand that Apple has verified.

  • Branded Mail needs DMARC on your mail server and DKIM on every customer email. You have 14 calendar days to finish verifying the domain, or you start over (Apple Support).
  • Tap to Pay branding links your verified brand to the merchant ID from a supported payment provider (Apple Support).

Does Apple Maps have ads in 2026?

Yes, Apple Maps now sells ads to businesses in the United States and Canada. Apple published its Ads on Maps help on August 14, 2026. Ads can appear at the top of relevant search results and in Suggested Places. Apple marks them clearly, and you must claim your locations first.

How do you advertise on Apple Maps?

  1. Verify your organization, claim your locations and upload photos.
  2. In Apple Business, select Ads and accept the terms. Your currency and time zone are permanent.
  3. Create an ad with up to three assets and optional promotional text.
  4. Choose all locations or specific ones.
  5. Set a monthly budget maximum. You can start or stop at any time.
  6. Review the summary and add a payment method (Apple Support).

What do Apple Maps ads cost?

You set the monthly budget, and Apple Business reports spend as the cost of each customer tap on your ad (Apple Support). Charges usually come "for every $500 USD spent or every seven days, whichever comes first" (Apple Support).

SettingAds in Apple BusinessAds in Apple Ads

Sources: Move to Apple Ads and Apple Newsroom. Finish your place card before you advertise, since ad actions such as calls and directions run through it. Then judge results on calls and directions, not taps alone.

How do agencies manage Apple Business Connect for clients?

Agencies manage Apple Business Connect for clients through partner access. The agency registers as a third-party partner, and the client shares access to chosen brands and features. The agency can then edit the brands and locations the client shared. Apple must verify both organizations first.

  1. Register as a third-party partner, not through the standard sign-up. Review can take up to five business days (Apple Support).
  2. Give the client your Organization ID. Their administrator goes to Settings, Integrations, Partner Access, enters it, picks brands and features, and selects Invite (Apple Support).
  3. Accept the invitation, then work on the shared brands and locations. Apple’s bulk upload and Insights pages do not say whether partners can use them, so confirm inside the client’s account.
  4. Approved partners can request Partner API access under Settings, Integrations, API (Apple Support).
What a partner can getAccess levelHow it is shared
Brand profilesRead and write, all or specific brandsOrganization ID or OAuth
LocationsSame as brand profilesOrganization ID or OAuth
Ads on MapsRead onlyOrganization ID only

The client can remove a partner’s access at any time, and you cannot delegate features outside this table. Apple also lists its approved third-party partners.

Does Apple Maps have reviews?

Apple Maps has its own ratings, but they are simple. Apple users can mark like or dislike for set categories and add photos of places they visit. Apple Maps also shows partner reviews, and Apple’s data attribution page credits "Reviews from Yelp." That makes your Yelp profile matter for Apple users too.

Photo uploads need an Apple Account, and ratings are not offered in every country (Apple Maps User Guide).

Where does Apple Maps get business information?

Apple Maps combines what you submit, customer reports and third-party data. Apple’s attribution page, revised October 21, 2026, credits dozens of providers, including Yelp, Foursquare, Tripadvisor and Booking.com (Apple Maps). Keep your details identical across directories, as our local citations guide explains.

Apple Business Connect vs Google Business Profile vs Bing Places

Apple Business Connect, Google Business Profile and Bing Places each control your listing in a different ecosystem. Apple Business Connect covers Apple Maps and Apple’s own apps, such as Siri, Spotlight and Wallet. The table compares the three on cost, verification, limits and ads. Claiming all three keeps your details consistent wherever customers search.

Is it worth having an Apple business account?

Yes, for most local businesses. Listing costs nothing and puts your correct hours, photos and buttons in front of people who search Apple Maps. Apple claims "Claimed businesses get 30 percent more views" (Apple Business), though it shows no method.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Apple Business Connect still available?

Not as a separate product. Its tools moved into Apple Business on April 14, 2026, and Apple’s old guide now says it "is now Apple Business" (Apple Support).

What is the Apple Business Connect login?

Sign in at business.apple.com, where the old businessconnect.apple.com address now redirects. Former Business Connect admins can keep a personal Apple Account for listing tools only, or create an Apple Account for Work (Apple Support).

Is there an Apple Business Connect phone number?

Yes, inside the portal. Select your account icon, then Support, to see a phone number for your country and a contact form (Apple Support).

Do I need a D-U-N-S Number to verify my business?

No. A D-U-N-S Number is one Business ID option, and an EIN also counts. Any two of the four methods work, such as a DNS record plus a business license (Apple Support).

How many photos can I add to an Apple Maps listing?

Up to 100 per location, and each photo can take up to three business days to review (Apple Support). Save approved images in the Asset Gallery so you can reuse them across locations and showcases.

Is Business Caller ID part of Apple Business?

Apple announced Business Caller ID in October 2024 for the following year (Apple Newsroom). The Apple Business User Guide does not cover it, but Apple’s partner documentation lists a Caller ID API in beta, limited to the US and used through a delegated partner (Apple Business Partner Guides).

Does Apple Business Connect work in Canada?

Yes. Listing tools and Ads on Apple Maps both work in Canada. Mail, Calendar and Directory are listed for the US only (Apple Support).

Who should hold the admin role in Apple Business?

Only an Organization or Marketing Administrator can share access with a partner (Apple Support). Keep that role with the owner, and give agencies partner access instead.
