IBT is a business process outsourcing company. Its head office is in Dubai, and it runs delivery operations across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. The company came to Hustle Marketers to strengthen its organic search presence. The work covered on-page SEO, technical SEO and off-page SEO, and it runs as an ongoing programme rather than a one-off project.

This BPO SEO case study carries no traffic or ranking figures. That is deliberate, of course. IBT has not released its analytics data for publication, and we do not publish client numbers we cannot evidence. So what follows is the scope of the work, the reasoning behind each decision, and what IBT said about it in public. Both reviews appear in full further down, unedited.

The method behind this engagement is written up in our guide to SEO for BPO and outsourcing companies. That guide covers the page architecture, the compliance content and the buyer questions this account was built around.

Why SEO for BPO and Outsourcing Companies Is Harder

Outsourcing is not a niche where you rank a page, collect a form fill and then call it a win. Four things make it different. So each one shaped what we did for IBT.

One contract, three or four searchers

A BPO contract usually has several owners. First, an operations head champions it. Information security clears it. Finance prices it. Procurement signs it. Each of those people searches in a different language.

For example, the operations head looks for provider categories. Security looks for compliance and certification terms. Finance wants pricing models and cost per seat. Procurement wants vendor shortlists and comparisons.

One service page cannot answer all four. The site structure has to. That is why website structure was one of the first things we touched. It is also the first thing IBT mentioned in their own review.

The buyers are few, and each one is worth a lot

Outsourcing deals are large, and they are rare too. A page that brings ten qualified visits a month can be worth more than one that brings a thousand. So relevance beats volume here, every time. That shaped which terms we chased and, more importantly, which ones we ignored.

Trust is a ranking factor nobody lists

Nothing in a BPO buying process happens without proof, of course. Buyers usually want named leadership, verifiable certifications, delivery centre addresses, client references and third-party reviews. Together, those signals move a vendor from the long list to the short list.

They also happen to be what Google uses to judge experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust. In this niche, therefore, the SEO work and the sales work are the same work.

A Dubai head office selling into the United States

IBT sells globally, and it also holds offices in New York and London. So the domain has to read as relevant to United States and United Kingdom intent, not only Gulf intent. Geography handling, internal linking and location markup all matter more here than they would for a single-market business.

What an Outsourcing Buyer Actually Searches For

A keyword map for a BPO does not usually look like a list of category labels. In reality, buyers rarely type the word BPO. Instead, they search by service, by industry, by compliance requirement or by delivery location. So we built the map around those patterns.

What the live numbers say

We pulled the live United States figures for this set rather than guessing at them. Every number below therefore comes from Semrush, United States database, on 18 September 2026.

technical support outsourcing72015not reported
hipaa compliant call center2104$80.88
Source: Semrush, United States database, pulled 18 September 2026.

What those numbers actually say

Two things stand out immediately. First, hipaa compliant call center carries a keyword difficulty of just 4 against a cost per click of $80.88. That is the softest and most valuable term in the whole set, and it is a compliance page rather than a service page. Second, bpo services sits at a difficulty of 75, so the broad label is both the hardest thing to rank for and the least specific.

The broad labels are not worthless, though. Semrush marks bpo companies as commercial, at a difficulty of only 19. What it lacks is money, because the cost per click is $11.45. Advertisers pay roughly nine times more for it outsourcing services at $107.67, and seven times more for hipaa compliant call center. That gap is the clearest signal of where the buyers actually sit.

Why we still did not lead with the category label

That last row still matters. The category label brings volume, but it rarely brings a brief. So we built the map on the service, industry and compliance patterns instead, and then treated the broad terms as a bonus rather than a target.

The full method behind this mapping, including the page architecture it produces, is in our guide to SEO for BPO and outsourcing companies.

What the Engagement Covered

IBT described the scope in their Trustpilot review as an on-page, technical and off-page SEO campaign. Here is what each pillar means in an outsourcing account, and how we approach it as an SEO agency.

On-page SEO

  • First, rebuilding the page-to-keyword map, so each service has one owning page instead of several competing pages
  • Then title tags and meta descriptions written to the buyer role, not to a generic service label
  • Also, H1 and H2 structure rewritten, so headings answer real buyer questions instead of restating the service name
  • Next, internal linking from supporting content into the service pages that need to rank
  • In addition, the proof a B2B buyer looks for, such as delivery locations, industries served, engagement models and client evidence
  • Finally, cutting thin and duplicated content, because it split authority across near-identical pages

Technical SEO

  • First, a crawlability and indexation review, including robots.txt and XML sitemap accuracy
  • Then canonical handling, redirect chains and 404 cleanup
  • Also, duplicate and parameterised URL control
  • Next, heading hierarchy, image alt text and structured data
  • In addition, Core Web Vitals and mobile usability
  • Finally, orphan page detection and internal link depth, so no service page sits more than a couple of clicks from the homepage

Every finding also gets a priority of critical, high, medium or low. It also gets an owner and an exact fix. Critical items, in particular, are anything blocking crawling or indexing.

Off-page SEO

  • First, reviewing the existing backlink profile and identifying low-quality or risky links
  • Then earning mentions on sources a B2B buyer already trusts, rather than chasing volume
  • Also, building out third-party review presence, because in this niche it doubles as a sales asset
  • Next, consistent business information across directories, profiles and location listings
  • Finally, brand entity work, so search engines and AI assistants link the brand to outsourcing and contact centre topics

That last point matters more every quarter. Brands get cited inside AI answers through the same entity and citation signals. We covered those mechanics in our AI visibility case study.

Keyword targeting and content strategy

IBT named keyword targeting and content strategy specifically. In a BPO account, that means mapping content to the buying committee rather than to a keyword list.

For example, operations content answers capability and process questions. Security content answers compliance questions. Finance content answers pricing and engagement model questions. Procurement content answers comparison and shortlist questions. Each one gets its own page and its own internal links.

What IBT Said About Working With Hustle Marketers

Both reviews below were left by IBT in September 2026, and they appear exactly as published. Neither, of course, was solicited with an incentive. Trustpilot has also flagged the second one as an unprompted review.

Trustpilot review, 16 September 2026

Review title: On-Page, Technical & Off-Page SEO Campaign

We engaged Hustle Marketers to strengthen our organic search presence, and the experience has been very positive. Their team helped us improve our website structure, keyword targeting, content strategy, and overall SEO foundation. The results have been developing steadily, and we’re seeing better visibility for relevant searches. Their approach feels focused on sustainable organic growth rather than quick shortcuts.

What those two reviews tell you, read together

From the initial audit to ongoing optimizationThe engagement started with a full audit, then became a retainer
Improve our website structureInformation architecture and internal linking, the first fix in any multi-service B2B site
Keyword targetingPage-to-keyword mapping across a buying committee, not a flat keyword list
Content strategyContent mapped to buyer roles, and to the questions each role asks before a shortlist
Overall SEO foundationTechnical SEO. Crawlability, indexation, canonicals, speed and structured data
Better visibility for relevant searchesRelevance was the target, not raw traffic. In this niche, that is the right goal
Sustainable organic growth rather than quick shortcutsNo link schemes and no doorway pages. Nothing that carries penalty risk into an enterprise sale
Results have been developing steadilyHonest client language for an engagement that is still compounding, which is normal in B2B

A Note on Review Schema, Since People Ask

We have not, however, marked these reviews up with Review structured data. That is deliberate, of course. Google’s review snippet guidelines state that when the entity being reviewed controls the reviews about itself, pages using LocalBusiness or any other Organization structured data are ineligible for the star review feature. Ratings must also come directly from users.

So marking these up would earn nothing. Worse, structured data that breaches the guidelines can be ignored, or it can draw a manual action. This page therefore uses FAQPage structured data instead. The reviews stay where they carry weight, on Google and on Trustpilot, where a buyer can verify them independently.

That kind of detail is why clients bring us technical work. Our approach to honest measurement is set out in reporting integrity.

How This Engagement Was Run

  1. First, we treated it as a sales problem. In outsourcing, rankings that never reach a buying committee are a vanity metric.
  2. Second, structure came before content. Fixing what lives where beat publishing more pages onto a foundation that could not carry them.
  3. Third, nothing that carries risk. An enterprise BPO cannot absorb a penalty mid-RFP, so we made every off-page decision on that basis.
  4. Also, one point of contact who actually works on the account. IBT mentioned communication in both reviews, and that is not an accident.
  5. Finally, honest pacing. We told IBT at the start what a realistic B2B SEO timeline looks like. That is why their own words are steady rather than overstated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this case study have no traffic or ranking numbers?

Because IBT has not released its analytics data for publication. We publish figures only when a client has approved them and we can evidence them. Every other case study on this site that carries numbers carries them for that reason. You can see those in the related list above.

How long does SEO take for a B2B outsourcing company?

Longer than ecommerce, and longer than local service. The buying committee is larger, the content set is wider, and the trust signals take time to build. IBT’s own wording, that results have been developing steadily, describes months three to nine accurately. So anyone promising an outsourcing company fast rankings is describing riskier work.

Can a company headquartered in Dubai rank in the United States?

Yes. Head office location is not a ranking cap, though. What matters is whether the site shows genuine relevance to that market. In practice that means US-facing content, clear location and entity signals, and links from sources the market recognises. IBT already holds New York and London offices, which helps.

What keywords should an outsourcing company target?

Service plus industry terms, compliance terms, delivery model terms and pricing model terms. Those, in short, are what a buyer types. The broad category labels such as bpo companies look attractive on volume, but much of that traffic is students and job seekers. So treat them as a low priority.

What does off-page SEO mean for a B2B company?

Not link buying. Instead, it means earning mentions on sources your buyers already trust, keeping business information consistent everywhere, building a verifiable review presence, and making sure search engines and AI assistants link your brand to the right topics. In a procurement-led sale, most of that doubles as sales collateral.

Should an outsourcing company invest in local SEO?

For recruitment, yes. For winning clients, usually not. Your buyer is not searching for a call centre near them. So treat Google Business Profile as a hiring and credibility asset, and put the client acquisition effort into service, industry and compliance pages.

Who actually works on the account?

Ishant Sharma leads accounts directly. IBT referenced communication in both reviews, and that is what clients notice when the person doing the work is also the person they speak to.

How do you decide what to prioritise in an audit?

Everything gets a priority of critical, high, medium or low, plus an owner and an exact fix. Critical items, in particular, are anything blocking crawling or indexing. Medium and low items are improvements that matter once the blockers are gone.
